May 31, 2020 update:
The health and safety of our community is our top priority. During this uncertain time, please use common sense when it comes to your personal decision about when to return to acupuncture treatment. While we are doing everything in our power to maintain a COVID-safe clinic, the only way to ensure that you won't be infected with COVID-19 is to self-quarantine.
These are the steps we are taking to comply with best practices for social distancing and sanitization to safely re-open. We will continue to update our policies and procedures, based on new information.
Rest assured, AcuBalance Wellness Center will remain a safe, cozy, and peaceful place for you to receive acupuncture and massage.
Measures we always take to keep the you and the clinic healthy:
We use universal precautions. This means that we treat everybody as if they are contagious with an infectious disease.
We change linens and disinfect all surfaces following every patient.
To reduce the density of people inside our office, patient appointments will be staggered and rooms rotated to minimize overlaps and allow extra time for proper room cleaning and disinfecting between patients.
We wear masks and practice exceptional self-care and awareness with regards to washing hands and staying home if we are not feeling well.
New Policies + Procedures
Please be advised that in order to be seen in the clinic, the following criteria must be met:
There will be new paperwork to sign (digitally) for everyone who comes in for an appointment, whether you are a new or returning patient. We will send it to you in advance of your appointment so you can complete it online.
You must not be experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of sense a smell or taste, or any other flu-like symptoms during the previous week.
You must not have been in contact with anyone who has been suspected or confirmed to have had COVID-19 in the previous two weeks.
Alert us if you have traveled out of the country in the previous two weeks.
Please arrive to your appointment wearing a face covering. We will be wearing a face mask during your entire treatment. If you don't have a face covering, one will be provided when you arrive, as supplies allows.
Please do not arrive early for your appointment.
Please leave unnecessary and non-valuable items in your car.
Prior to entering the treatment room, please use the hand sanitizer in the waiting room or thoroughly wash your hands in the restroom.
We ask that you do not bring anyone along with you to your appointment unless they are necessary for your care.
Adjusted Hours of Operation
Due to state mandated restrictions and limited child care, we have temporarily adjusted our hours of service. All treatments are by appointment only, no walk-ins will be honored at this time.
Massage appointments have been limited to 30 minutes in the state of Illinois during Phase 3.
We will keep you informed and update our hours as new information is provided.

Saturday 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Sunday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Monday through Friday by appointment. Please call or email to request a time.
NEED REFILLS OF HERBS OR SUPPLEMENTS?
At this time, you can only come into the clinic if you have a scheduled appointment. If you need a refill on any herbs or supplements, or want to purchase retail products, we can arrange for a reserved time and if requested, no-contact pick-up .
