VERA KULEZIC

Vera Kulezic is a co-owner of AcuBalance Wellness Center, LLC and is nationally licensed and board certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She maintains state licenses in Illinois and her areas of interest include women’s health, infertility, pediatrics, chronic pain, digestive disorders, autoimmune disorders, neurological disorders, emotional disharmonies, respiratory disorders, sleep disorders and facial rejuvenation. She specializes and has advanced training in infertility, pediatrics and orthopedic disorders. Vera attended a four-year medical program at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago and earned a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine. The program includes Chinese medicine theory, Western science, acupuncture, massage, nutrition and Qi Gong training. As a former high school English teacher and mentor, she has always had an interest in an altruistic career path and coupled with her passion for the healing arts led her on the path to studying Oriental medicine. During her education, Vera received unique training in the treatment of chronic disease and pain management and now devotes her practice to aiding people coping with challenging illnesses. At the Pacific College campus in San Diego Vera completed an internship program at the UCSD Free Clinics Project aiding the Homeless and volunteered at the Pacific Center of Health. In Chicago, she also spent three semesters at Project VIDA, a non-profit organization aimed at providing support and alternative health options to people infected with HIV/AIDS and due to this experience she has become highly devoted to promoting a more integrative approach to mainstream healthcare. As an active mother with a passion for staying physically and spiritually fit, Vera also strongly believes in the power to prevent illness starting with the very young by way of nutrition, lifestyle and physical fitness.
