JULIE DOMAGALSKI

Julie is a Licensed Acupuncturist and is Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She became interested in Oriental medicine when acupuncture helped her manage pain and recover quickly following surgery for a ruptured achilles tendon. As a former research scientist and technical consultant to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, Julie saw the value of integrating this holistic medical system with modern medicine for patients currently seeking treatment. She is also interested in promoting traditional Oriental medicine as a preventative approach to health maintenance. Julie attended the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, one of the most rigorous U.S. training programs for acupuncture and Oriental medicine (AOM), and earned a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM). She has additional training in Japanese Meridian Therapy, a gentle and energetic style of acupuncture that uses super-fine needles and very shallow insertion. She is also a certified reflexologist, and blends Oriental medicine principles with traditional reflexology during both foot and hand treatments. Although Julie welcomes all patients, she has a special interest in endocrinology, internal medicine, women’s health and chronic pain. In her free time she volunteers with the Alternative Medicine Project for Veterans.
